At the age of ten, Irving undertook his first feature on 8mm film. He continued making countless films, culminating with his graduation project, New World. He wrote and directed his debut feature, the indie comedy How To Be, which was distributed worldwide in 2009. His second feature, the heartfelt comedy/horror Ghost Team, was released theatrically across the US in 2016.
Growing up in Sheffield, England, he spent the rest of his time playing drums for various artists. Joe Hastings, a bandmate from his teenage years, has remained a life-long collaborator, composing scores for his films and contributing to his current music project.
Having been told “spec scripts are dead,” Irving is currently focused on creating original graphic novels and dramatic audio projects.
He now lives in Brooklyn, New York.
